Around thirty shoots a year, roughly twenty thousand frames per shoot. Sunny days and downpours, mountain races and night events, high school rugby and indoor sports, running and cycling events, dirt bike races. All skill levels, all conditions.
The volume matters because it builds instinct. You stop thinking about settings and start thinking about the shot. You learn where the action is going before it gets there, how to read a race, when a rider is about to take a corner wide, when a runner is about to hit the wall.
The approach is the same as everything else — plan, anticipate, get ready, capture. Just faster.
